“Let Time be your Friend”
This is a quote by a friend and pastor at Tjugofyrakyrkan, Nicklas Mörling, who will be sharing together with his wife and co-pastor Lydia, with Stockholm Life Church on March 16th at 10:30.
That short phrase sparked the following thoughts to life!
What is church?
Church is relationships. Again, church is relationships.
What is church not?
Church is neither a building, nor the rank and file of a leadership structure for an organization.
If we are focused on building an organization, we will miss the relationships that make life worth living.
We would be living for a catch phrase, hype, and bumper sticker phrases.
If we focus on building relationships with God and each other, the organization will fall into place.
We would be living for God, and encouraging each other, inviting others to see what God has done for them as well.
Time can feel like an enemy if we are attempting to build an organization.
Time can be our friend as we spend time with God, and time with each other.
In meeting together, we have a chance to share life with all of its roller coaster moments!
This creates an incredibly strong foundation for the church to be built upon.
Starting a church cannot be based on rushing people/engineering relationships to happen.
The rush of growing an organization could be tempting, but the joy of real relationships far outweighs that shell of an idea.
Living for God while walking through life with others is what being a church is all about.
It is knowing the people next to you, sharing and caring for them as you do for yourself.
In short: Discover God, Live Life Together.
